1984 944 Lux

Reluctantly selling my project due to space, time and money (pretty much in that order).

The car is off the road, SORN It was taken off the road due to suspected no.2 conrod bearing. I decided the best route was to buy a replacement engine and re-build that to replace the old one. Part way through stripping the engine I decided to Turbo it. List of parts below. The interior is stripped as this was going to be refreshed at the same time.

The body is in good condition, recent new cills, battery tray freshly welded. Car is guards red, cookie cutter alloys with fresh Firestones all round.

Square dash. Usual cracking to the dash, but not too bad. Black pinstripe interior

Engine parts:

- Exisiting engine in car - this will obviously come with the car.
- Second engine part stripped, sump off with new rod bearings, bores etc. In really good condition.
- K26/6 Turbo
- Standard 944 intercooler
- Turbo pistons and Rast rods
- Oil filter housing with oil cooler outlets
- Oil cooler - with pipework
- Vapour blasted turbo inlet manifold (like brand new)
- Crossover pipe, downpipe and exhaust manifolds
- Knock sensor and coolant sensor
- Turbo injectors
- Throttle body
- MAF
- Radiator
- Sump, with oil return,
- Turbo oil feed pipe
- Complete cylinder head, good condition, and skimmed, new valve guides and seated
- Cam tower and cam complete
- Front water pipe rail
- Coolant resevoir
- BOV
- Fuel reg
- Leads
- Turbo engine mounting bar
- Turbo flywheel
- Head gasket set
- New sump gasket
- Engine mounts
- Selection of heat shields for turbo setup
- Metal cam belt tensioner
- Turbo water pump with metal impeller and outlet for the turbo water circuit
- Water rail that runs down side of cylinder head
- Throttle cable to suit new inlet manifold/throttle body
- All the metal pipework that sits under the inlet manifold
- Complete pipework for the idle stabiliser valve setup under the inlet manifold including valve
- Wastegate discharge pipe from wastegate back to exhaust
- J boot inlet pipe
- Turbo water cooling switch and y pipe (bolts to turbo core)
- Auxillary water pump
- Auxillary water pump mount bracket and pipework
- Inlet support bracket
- Various brackets and water pipework etc.

Body parts

- Brand new Carrera GT front spoiler - fiberglass
- Brand new 924 turbo badge panel - fiberglass
Will come with original front bumper and badge panel aswell

Other parts
Reconditioned full carpet set (like new)
New battery

There's probably a heap of other bits I've forgoton about. There are a few more parts needed for the turbo conversion which are: Exhaust. And electrics. I was going to send it to Augment Automotive for them to do as they will do all of the wiring in the engine bay with their look and ECU. But if you want to run as stock then you will need the turbo engine loom and both stock ECU's

Price is £3850 for the lot.

Car is located in Plumpton nr. Lewes, Sussex.

PM me or text in the first instance on 07973 199822 - viewings and questions welcome.

1st pictures are before it came off the road and all parts are there if you want to keep it stock and sell on the other parts. I'm not interested in splitting it up as I need the space and don't have time to list everything elsewhere.

Last picture is as it is at the moment. With Bumper and badge panel offered up. I will take more photos over the weekend of all parts and more of the car as it stands.

Might wanna take the price off the eBay listing as they usually pull the listing if they see that.

A great project here for someone with lots of the bits collected ready to build up.

If I wasn't doing my 924 race project I would be tempted myself.
