It is with great sadness that I have decided to put my Porsche 944s2 up for sale. I have owned the car for about 20 months and covered 5000 trouble free miles in that time. Please find spec details below:-
-Porsche 944s2 in Cobalt Blue
-Registered on 03/08/1992 (must be one of the last on a K Plate)
-Vinyl & Porsche Script Cloth Interior
-Electric Windows,Mirrors & Sunroof
-Mot 23/01/2016
-Mileage - 152,779
-I have a lot of history with the car and receipts for £000s over the years indicating it has been very well maintained
Good Points:-
- Great driver with good oil pressure, does not burn or leak oil
- Documented Timing Belt Change & Tensioner Replacement in 2011 (less that 12,000 miles ago)
- New windscreen (2 years ago)
- Undersealed underneath
- Working Clock
- Dansk exhaust
- No advsories on the last MOT (has covered 3000 miles since)
- Fuel lines replaced last year
Not So Good Points (every 23 year old car has them)
- Worn drivers seat bolster (is vinyl so should be easily fixed)
- Passenger electric window can be a bit lazy
- Paintwork is not mint, front bumper is stonechipped and the car has obviously been painted before which is not the best of matches
- Surface rust on both sills (have brand new porsche replacement sills that could be negotiated with the sale)
- Some surface rust above the windscreen (this has been treated)
All in all this is a great car that I have really enjoyed owning and am reluctantly selling. My original plan was to take the car off the road this winter and get the sills done (hence why I bought replacements) and have it fully resprayed. Unfortunately due to a change in my personal circumstances I am no longer in a position to do this so have decided to put it up for sale as I don't have a garage and don't want to leave the car outside in the elements over winter. The surface rust on the sills has been there for over a year and hasn't got any worse (sills have been waxoyl'd). I am not sure if this caused the rust on the sills in the first place as I checked them through the b-pillar vent went I bought it and they looked fine (sills are solid and were not mentioned as advisory on MOT).
