I am selling my fully sorted track day S2.
It remains fully road legal as a 'gentlemans racer' and includes spare set of wheels with Pilot Cup Sport tyres on 17 inch turbo twist rims which fit inside the car giving both wet and dry options.
Just serviced with cambelt change.
EMC fitted Gaz Gold coilovers and fettled the chassis
Lots of pics here:

Offers on £7,500.

pm me for more details if needed.
Car on SORN in South Wales.

Hi Simon, where in South Wales are you based? Who has completed the work on the car and who maintains it? I'm based in Cardiff and maybe interested dependent on spec and history.

Hi,
I am based in Monmouth.
When I bought the car, it already had a half cage, seats and belts fitted and all the sound deadening removed.
I had my local independent fettle the engine including cam belts, cam chain, head gasket and new cam seals. Everything else was in good order. The head gasket change is vital. See pic of rotten one in photo file.
I then took car to EMC to have coil over suspension, lowering and full chassis fettling including 968 ARBs, rebushed etc etc. Their comment was the underside was in excellent order. Also put in Mintex pads which work great on road or track…no fade or squeal. Amazing.
In this trim, we took the car to Spa. It was clear better tyres were needed so I bought a set of Pilot Cup Sports off Mark Koeberle and fitted them to spare set of rims. This transformed the car so we were then exploring our limits, not the cars! They fit inside the car for driving to the track.
My 4 years of ownership were up last September, so I did another cam belt service at my local indie but since then with the onset of winter, she has not turned a wheel.

The engine is fantastic considering the age of the design. Very tractable, more than enough power with a smooth delivery. Its a joy on track. On the road, the coil over suspension clangs and clatters. Kevin at EMC says 'they all do that sir'!

If I were keeping the car, I would probably go for some Recaros and 3 inch belts and possibly consider a full cage….although that gives insurers a headache which is why I have held off thus far.
I did the South Wales PCGB track day at Pembrey last year. If you were there, you would have seen the car.

Some more information to summarise a few questions I have been asked.
1. Although the recorded mileage is 186,000, it is not the original engine. The current engine has had all known weak points addressed…head gasket changed, new cam chain and guides, all new pulleys, new camshaft oil seals and reconditioned head. Promax distributor and leads fitted.
2. All wear items in the suspension have been replaced and or upgraded e.g Gaz Gold coil over suspension, 968 ARBs and bushings, replaced wishbones.
3. Sills have been inspected, stripped, repaired for minor corrosion only and treated against future corrosion.
4. The body work is excellent, there are no water leaks, the tailgate works perfectly and there are no electrical issues.

I am about to re-list the car on Pistonheads for £6,750.

Thanks for reading.

I want to move this car on, so anyone from TIPEC who agrees a price with me will get a further 10% off.
I am around all over Easter. The Pistonheads advert will be re-listed next Tuesday.
