Up for sale is my 924 2.0lt n/a,
I'm selling as I'm not as in to it as I thought I would be...

I recently drove from Leeds to South Devon (without any breakdown cover), a 600 mile round trip and it was faultless! I'll be doing it again in Jan if I still have it. Wasn't too bad on fuel too, better than my old a4 quattro...

I bought if from a retro rides forum member in august,
its got a mot till july 2015, no tax thanks to our lovely government...
its on 156k miles.
when i got it, it had the just had the following;
had transaxel oil changed
new plugs rota arm and dizzy cap
the sills had been done.

Since then I've given it a oil change, fitted new wiper/indy stalks(the original indys didnt self cancel and the intermittent wipe didnt come on all the time). it had an issue of not charging, this was cured by fitting a thicker wire from the alternator to the battery. It now charges at just under 14V and is at just over 12V when left for a day or 2, the radio was always fed with a live feed so I've given it a switched feed so it doesnt drain the battery. It always starts weather is hot or cold. I welded up the exhaust as it had a slight blow.
It has the detachable sun roof with the bag to keep it in, electric windows, the brakes stop as they should, the handbrake could do with adjusting (ill probs do this over the weekend). I fitted 4 alpine 4*6 speakers, fitted a head unit that has a aux in. It has plenty of history with it too.

Also over the weekend it will have a freshly painted front bumper, rear bumper and wing mirrors (the bump strip on the rear bumper has come off so got a replacement, the mirrors are a bit tatty as is the front bumper) the rest of the car will be getting a machine polish and a general clean up.

The only real downsides are the alloys, they are the the turbo ones but they are, especially the rears, in need of a refurb. And the drives seat is torn... There is a small rust spot on the drivers wing/sill but it doesnt look too bad, the sills have been welded at the rear before I got it. The temp gauge doesnt work, the car has a hot and cold idle so I think the sensor works, just the gauge playing up.

Anyway have some photos to look at, these were from when I first got it, I will put up some fresh ones after the weekend.

It's a very nice and very rare mazda mx5 g ltd , 1 of only 1500 worldwide, it's been lowered a touch and has adjustable suspension, limited slip diff and a few other bits, valued somewhere between £1500-£2000 and is in very good condition,perfect for those Devon country roads :wink: :wink:
