Umm... I remain unconvinced any of us will be around then to test that statement. However, using the value of a turbo in the early 90s and adjusting this for inflation then £85k today is the approximate value / cost. Feel free to contact the Bank of England directly should you disagree with their calculator.

now that I can fully understand, how much is a brand new 944 worth?

With inflation then possibly £85k, but I see todays replacement for the 944 being the Cayman range with the S probably the equivalent of the 944 Turbo.

So starting price is £48,783 and with a few extras like metallic paint, 20" Wheels, sports seats, sport suspension, sports exhaust, Bluetooth and BOSE Audio that's just over £55k which is about right in my opinion :)

Or you could get really wild and rightly say 88 turbo was 55K that's about same price as 3 bed house = 250/300k now

Finally got round to taking some pictures of the car this morning. Weather not great but hopefully these will show anyone who is interested in the car how nice it is.

Any questions please ask me.

And please keep this thread related to the car for sale only

What a super condition motor -- definitely ex-showroom condition

Interesting to see that some peeps are worried about 944s approaching any 911 values. I guess they forgot about the 912 and the 914/6 (Christ, even the 914/4s are not as bargainous as they used to be) values.

This car looks to be in first class condition, and it is certainly a rarity to see a completely unmodified 951 with no major repairs present. Best of luck with the sale, whatever it sells for.

Lovely turbo you have there! Knowing what I have spent in the last 2 yes to get a 4k turbo to its current standard, Id say price is in the right area... I was thinking of selling mine this year, but due to the fact it drives as smooth as my 12 plate Passat, I think I'm going to keep her, plus prices seem in the up which can only be a good thing for all owners.. Can I ask how much you sold it for? I don't remember ever seeing a 944 for sale at your asking price (well, not recently), so all us other 944 owners would like some clue as to whether or not the values of these are increasing. Good examples of any car will command a premium, but I'd be interested to know what the limits are, with regard to a 944.

Many thanks,
Bryan
