aving been a member of the forum for over 5 years now I am saddened to be considering selling my 944 t. I had a shot of a cayman s yesterday and am 99% sure that I want to get one.

The car is a 1990 guards red which came as a very good condition 115,000 mile car in 2008. I opted for the car as being post 89 it had m030 brakes, 250 bhp and an lsd.

Since buying the car, I have undertaken the following work:

KW V3's
Fully rebushed front and rear
993 turbo big red front calipers and 2 piece discs
New braided fuel lines from front to rear.
55lb injectors
promax stg 2 chip
full 3" stainless exhaust system
Lindsey racing uprated intercooler
adjustable fuel pressure reg
6 point bolt in roll cage (carpet, dash, door cards etc still in place)
968 manual window winders and door cards
968 castor mounts
gaz uprated solid bush top mounts (adjustable camber
996 10 spoke light weight wheels (just powedercoated in black)
Brand new front and rear tyres. Conti sport 5's literally done 500 miles
greddy profec electronic boost controller
stack oil temp gauge
mocal boost guage
innovate lc1 wide band lambda gauge
short shirt gear linkage
corbeau pro series black bucket seats (pair) with adjustable runners
6 point harnesses
uprated front mount oil cooler
Braided brake hoses
fibreglass front wings just fitted
spa design wing mirrors
Front vented badge panel (have original aswell)
Cold air vented air ducts for front discs
OMP deep dish alcantara steering wheel
Knock sensor with rev warning

In the last 2 months, the car was fitted with new balance belts and timing belt together with all tensioners being replaced. At the same time, the head was rebuilt and a widefire head gasket was fitted. Just changed oil to 10 50w fuchs pro s which I have always used in car. Car is now on 119,000. It has just passed its mot and ahs a years tax. No advisories on Mot (not a single one). Car has full service history. Some porsche, some specialist.

I have only done one track day but if I keep this car I am going to keep buying more and more stuff for it to make it faster. Already have most of the stuff to build a 3.0 turbo engine but have decided that its maybe more sensible to just stop spending all my money. The car has been really reliable but like most, I got the bug for upgrading things. (worrying when I actually write down whats been done, dont want to add up the costs !!!

The car is now at a stage where it is really nice to drive on the road and track. I think of it as a gt3 rs version of a 944 t if porsche had made one. It should be circa 300bhp possibly more with whats been done and it now weights 1300 kg.

Pics will follow shortly.

I have genuinely spent ££££ on this car and many hours on it. Difficult to find in this condition and it is definately better to buy one that is already done than buy one cheap and then spend more money on it.

HPI clear, never been in any accidents

Looking for £7995 ono.

I will get some for you as soon as I can.

I am negotiable on price. Ideally I would like to sell it to a forum member with an agreement that if they ever want to sell then they let me know. Really want to keep it but just bought a cayman s so dont ahve enough cash for both :( . Gutted, really wanted to do a few track days having spent all the cash.

That's really cheap for track time. The cayman has completely cleaned me out at the moment and I only have one garage space so don't want either sitting out in the open when not being used.

Keep it! If you hope to buy it back? it might be a shed by then and you may struggle to get one thats in the condition you have got yours into.
If you have the space, mothball it get a carcoon outdoor cover https://www.carcoon.com/carcoon-double-skin-outdoor and look on it as your investment for the future.
Many have sold their 944 Turbo's (wish they hadn't and then bought them back :? )

Take off all the best bits and store them, then you can build another car in the future.
