I have an eight year old car that I purchased from a Porsche dealership 2 years ago and they have now turned down warranty extension as the said that an "non standard" exhaust was fitted (before I purchased the car from them). I bought the car after having had the 111 points check and nothing was mentioned to me at the time. What can I do as I refuse to buy the whole new exhaust system to get new warranty as surely they should have mentioned it when purchased?
Thank you for your feedback as this is getting soooo frustrating

Seems reasonable to argue that the warranty was valid for two years with the exhaust which they supplied.

As all cars have to go through a strict Porsche inspection if it was sub standard it should have been removed before sale?

Which dealership? Try speaking with Porsche UK and see what they have to say.

Thank you for that. I have contacted Porche UK and they sent an official letter stating something along the lines of "the original warranty was so open to interpretation that dealership could put warranty on items/cars where they can not now". When you buy a house and the roof has been changed, surenly you are obliged to mention it to the new buyer ? Does this not apply when you buy with full Porsche Service History? The dealership is Solihull and their behaviour has been appalling in dealing with this matter...

Take a look at Tesco's Finest warranty.
I know of quite a few Porsche owners who are very happy with this
Also it's much cheaper

Tesco Finest has a limit of 6 years and 60k miles, they have standard and value plans but they don't seem to be all that worth having.
