Looking forward to this,
Looks like the 924s have been moved to Zone 16 now.

I have received several requests for infield passes.

I do not have any and I can not acquire any, from a club display perspective the event was closed on the 31st May

Sean - this is a new event for me. Any advice re what time to aim to arrive etc? Don't wanna be too late and mess up the 'display parking' on the club pitch...

No issue what time you arrive, it’s usually quite busy to get in between 8:30 and 09:30.

I will be around from around 07:30 each morning, any abandoned cars will be towed

Thanks to everyone that displayed their car this weekend. It was great to see members from as far a field as Scotland and the South West.

We had a great mix of cars and received lots of positive comments.

Once again, huge thanks are due to Sean for organising the club attendance at this event, not to mention manning the stand for much of the time and directing the parking in his inimitable style.

I had a great time but I fear I will have to book the 944 in for some counselling after the trauma of having her spoiler squeezed.

Thanks to everyone who helped on the stand and to Glenn, James, Alison, Jason and Peter for helping to set up and pack up. :thumbright:

I am still getting over the Tbag incident :D

Hey folks.
So sad I missed yesterday's event. Combination of multiple factors - domestic, medical and post-holiday driving fatigue - meant I was prevented from leaving Chorley at an ungodly hour that was always optimistic.
At least you had a good time!
See you again, I hope, Tim.

We were wondering where you had got to. Maybe next year? :)

Thanks for the good wishes :) Hope to attend the next NW meeting at the Bowling Green. It's not a phantom, this 968, honest. Ask Stuart or Chris in Stockport!

shame you didn't make it, we were missing a 968 from the line up this year.

Another great year at the Classic, as always the show doesn't happen without Sean's work but it also needs your cars and once again we had a good selection of cars for Sean to make a great display with.

Big thanks to all the others that helped on the stand too, James for bringing all the kit up and helping to set up and take down and from all those that spared some time to man the stand while Sean was away catching some racing or enjoying an hour or two of the show.
Glenn, Gina, Al, Peter and others all shared their enthusiasm with people enquiring about the club.

I spent a good part of all three days on the stand and although we were not in the best location, we did still get a lot of interest in the club from those that passed by.

I had a toothache on Sat and Sun which saw me sleep part of Sat night upright in my car and it got very nasty by the close of play on Sunday, making driving home tricky. I am now on day 3 of some strong antibiotics and starting to feel a wee bit better and now looking forward to next year which they have just announced the dates for .
