Infield Parking and BOGOF tickets for this event are now closed

When I have had confirmation from the organizers, I will share how many have booked for each day and where our stand area is.

For those that arrive really early and beat me to our stand, please hang around until we arrive so that we can park the cars at a jaunty angle. I hate seeing cars parked in straight rows like a supermarket :)

For those that have not been before:-

We will have tea/coffee and biscuits available in the gazebo each morning.

Friday
is the quietest of the 3 days, with qualifying for the weekends races. A great day for having a mooch and getting your bearings.
In the evening the Bootleg Beatles are performing live on stage plus supporting acts with a Summer of Love theme.

Saturday
Is the busiest day and if you arrive at the circuit after 08:30, it may take a while to get in.
Tony Hadley and The Dire Straits Experience are on stage Saturday evening

Sunday
Busy, arrive by 08:30 to avoid the queues. People tend to start drifting away from around 16:00, the A43 does get busy especially towards the M1.

Hello Sean,

I am a lapsed member of TIPEC from years ago when I lived in Manchester and was involved with the NW region.

I now live in N.Ireland where TIPEC is not active (to the best of my knowledge).

I am going to the Silverstone Classic and was going to take my newly restored 1978 911 SC. It would be great if I was able to get this into the display but I appreciate that the deadline is well passed. If it is possible to get my car in then obviously I will join the club again.

So, any chance at all of getting my car in?

Thanks
Allen

Hello Sean,

I am an Ireland based ex-member (used to live in Manchester and attend NW gatherings).

I am planning on taking my newly restored '78 911 SC to the Silverstone Classic. Late in the day I know but I was wondering if there was any way I could get my car into the club parking area? If this was possible, I would of course rejoin the club (although I don't think you are active in Ireland, North or South?).

Let me know if this is possible please.

Best regards,

Allen Erskine

We are the first pitch in Zone 13 next to the Jet Tanker on the corner.

Is that far away from last years position?

We are in the same Zone but at the other end, It will be a bit quieter but better visibility for those walking into the event and through to Woodcote and Luffield grandstands.

I thought we were a bit out of the way last year, its never perfect

A big thank you to Jason and Glen for battling the elements on Thursday and getting the gazebo anchored down. I am pleased to say it survived the wind and the rain, it was swaying a little in the strong relentless wind. :notworthy:

Another fabulous weekend, it was great to see members from Saltash and Scotland join the display over the weekend. It was nice to welcome members to the stand, even those that preferred to park elsewhere on the infield

Our little corner was well viewed by the Silverstone Crowds, the variety of cars on display showcased the club perfectly.

I always like a few stats, 13 packets of biscuits were munched and nearly 200 cups were used for drinks.

Thanks again

Sean

Cars look interestingly displayed on the club pitch.

Well done to all involved with organisation and displaying their Porsche on their club stand.

I had a great time at the Classic this year, we had a great location and a lovely collection of cars.

Massive thanks need to go to Sean for organising the club's place at the show, manning the club tent all weekend and directing the parking (not to mention the tea, coffee and biscuits!). Without all of his effort, it simply wouldn't have happened.

Well said Glenn, without Sean manning the stand it wouldn't happen.
Sadly i couldn't be there all weekend this year due to the upcoming addition :D

It was great to be there yesterday though and I love chatting to both existing members, prospective members and those that just pop by because they like Porsches.

Our display is always that, a display of cars.
Not just rows of parked cars like many of the other clubs.
A little bit of thought and some angles makes all the difference
Great mix of cars as always, old, new, watercooled, aircooled and transaxle.
Some polished, some well used and some sporting recent battle scars but all a great representation of our club.

Thanks to everyone that came along over the weekend, I know those that camped had some lovely weather to deal with and I hope it didn't affect your experience. Actually being in a warm, dry tent with the rain hammering down is quite a nice feeling, just as long as you don't need the loo
