Hi

Following on from Sean's posting :-

A big thankyou from Paul (away on business for a few days) and myself to everyone who helped us in the planning, sourcing of cars, materials procurement and setting up the show stand. This year was a monster effort which began in February if memory serves me correct.

Furthermore a big thankyou to everyone who helped us to manage such a fabulous stand during the show

Finally I think we managed to sign up between 30 and 40 new members at the show. Many more took away membership forms and hopefully some of them will also take the plunge and join the club. Therefore we should be seeing new names on the forum and new faces in the Regions throughout the U. K.

Some of the new members do not have Porsche cars yet and will be looking for assistance and guidance as that step into the world of Porsche

Good work, an impressive effort.

Quite agree sounds fantastic, one year I'll manage to make this show!

What a fantastic 3 days, it was great to meet so many people who just wanted to talk Porsche.

A huge thanks to Paul and Brian for pulling everything together, John for the use of the van.

Also to Paul C, Paul K, Lindsay, Chris, Graham, Mark and Brian for putting their immaculate cars on display.

the stand looked fantastic, only sorry i couldn't have stopped longr to admire it & the cars more.

Patrick and the team from PCGB also did a great job, the 356 next to the GT2 must have made for some great photo's. What is a shame is that their stand is being criticised on the PCGB forum, unfairly IMHO.

well said. it needs to be remembered this was Patricks first attempt at this and he did it with very little help (infact some hindrence) from the club directors.

Interesting, this thread is now "PCGB Members only"

I suggest we move the thread to a TIPEC members only thread. After all that's what PCGB did to their NEC Classic thread. :)

It got into a bit of a slanging match or was that slagging match - not quite sure...

Needless to say it always does and you'll never please everyone..
I enjoyed the show and it was great to be able to pop across the carpet and chat with each other..

Well apart from Helen who had no carpet

What's the problem

Either you want to be independant or not, I do.

Many of us Porsche drivers are in both clubs anyway.

For my part I spent time on the other stand talking to their representatives that I know and also was happy to see them on our stand passing pleasantries.

Just because we may be in different camps and different clubs is hardly the basis of any logic to generate acrimony

For my part, I am just too old to throw my toys out of the pram
