It's almost becoming a Blyton no-brainer. We have plenty of people who fancy a track day and want as much 'security' as possible for their car and tracks don't come much safer than Blyton. Plenty of accomodation available in the area as well. The Club has been there twice so we also have plenty of members to recommend the place to interested parties.

I'm interested in Blyton, when in the year is it most likely to be held?

*Sorry, just re-read the 1st page (may/june 2016).

I'm definitely interested.

Regards

Simon

Is the club close to fixing a date for this? I'm planning the calendar of events for the North West region for 2016 and don't want a spring road-trip event to clash.

Bedford is another "Safe" circuit with plenty of run off too, Blyton was good fun last year and would be happy to return, although frankly any circuit :D :D

Just a thought - and I do understand the concerns, but why worry about driving on a track day about collisions etc. everyone is going in the same direction, a far less of a worry than on the roads where you never know quite might and indeed does happen!

If you enjoy driving your car out on the road - you will love a track day :)

Richard

I will give Paul a nudge, he's been a bit pre-occupied with the NEC.

After listening to the various comments and the main trends of the discussion I have asked for a May/June date at Blyton Park for 2016. I am suggesting that we have a joint event open to the MX5 guys as they came along last year and we had no issues on track. This also means less pressure on us to fill the places on our own.

I will put the date on here as soon as I have it from the organisers and will ensure it is circulated at the same time to all RO's

Please let's not have anyone sitting on the fence this time around. If you "thought about it last time" get involved this time around and we'll have a ball! :D

See you there

Paul

Just need a date asap. All the NW bods enjoyed it last year: 9 cars including 924's, 944, 996tt 997 Carrera S, 993, 996gt3, 3.2 targa and a Lotus. No accidents, no damage, lots of fun and banter.

Don't risk inviting tthe no-show Marcos club again. Not one of 'em bothered on what was supposed to be a joint event.

Hi Paul,
I'd be interested date dependant as we have organised a trip to the Isle of Man with Porscheshop. This is the weekend of the 20th of May and are making the Simply Porsche show our weekend of the year. Cheers. Dean.
