The Silverstone Classic web site indicates that they're no longer taking bookings for car club members, presumably because they have now finalised the space available to each club and the show layout

"Silverstone Classic Car & Bike Club Members Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire 24 - 26 July 2015: Bookings closed"

General public tickets are still available.

So We are plot B18, I think that's where PCGB were last year.

The 924 Owners Club are also B18, think they only have 5 Cars

B18 is the narrow section of grass alongside the Farm wall (on the right hand side over the first bridge to the infield) just before you get to the roundabout for the BRDC camp site. It's a good spot. All the public will walk past us on the way in to the infield. TIPEC was there 3 or 4 years ago. A prime location :)

Well Red has a leak in the fuel rail and whatd'ya know it's NLA (at £300 i don't mind it not being in stock)

I found one in Germany and hopefully it will arrive in time to be fitted, also have a smart repair uy coming on Wednesday to address a minor incident and hopefully my rear seats will be back on Wednesday too.

Thak you to all the people that made it to Silverstone over the weekend.

Friday saw enough rain to see Noah get his carpentry set out again.
Myself and Sean manned the tent and occasionally popped out to stretch the legs and watch a little of the qualifying, kalthough much of it was behind a safety car.
In the evening myself and my other half Lindsay stopped to watch the bands playing but gave up after The ZZ Tops and swam back to the car.
We headed off to Tescos to buy some cheap dry clothes and trainers.

Saturday, couldn't have been any different. Woke up to a strange orange glow in the sky above our tent (very waterproof one at that).
Arrived at Silverstone at 7:30 to start organising the cars coming in. We were hoping to have a nice angled display of cars but one left overnight straight on meant a slight change of plan.
I think we had almost all of our clubs 40 cars turn up and we joined seamlessly with the 8 cars from the 924 Owners club, our location meant that ours were the first and last cars anyone saw during the day.
It was really good to meet some of the members i'd not really spoken too before and I must say a big thanks to the lads and lasses that made the trip down from North of the Border.
Also great to meet the many people that came in and made enquiries about the club. We hope you manage to pop along to your local area meeting and say hello soon.

We spent the afternoon looking at other cars, watching some racing and eating more food. Then came the evening and the Mighty Status Quo.
A great gig to end a great day out.

Then came Sunday and the weather was back to Friday's standard but with added strong winds.
by 2pm, we'd alll had enough and packed up.

Overall, I still enjoyed the weekend away but i'm not sure i'll get Lindsay to come to The Silverstone Classic next year

Thanks to Sean and Jason for the organisation, the stand was in the best position I have seen from my visits. We visited on Saturday only, quite pleased we did given the weather report from Friday and what was expected on Sunday. Stayed until 11pm, Quo were just playing the encore when we left but it did mean we got out quickly and made good time back to South Glos.

Thanks to Sean & Jason (and any others) for their hard work over 3 days. The weather on Friday and Sunday did it's utmost to dampen everything and everyone.

Having hidden all day on Friday in dry, comfortable and expensive hospitality Sean allowed running repairs before driving home on my driver's door window which disappeared into door on arrival. TIPEC tent made excellent dry garage!

Water appears to disagree with my old 964 as I managed all manner of warning lights whilst swimming home via M40/M25. Final straw was main beam only for M25 - resorted to front foglights and sidelights (think I need new dipping/flash steering column stalk).

All in all Friday did not turn out quite as I had hoped!!

It was great to see everyone over the weekend, despite the weather I still enjoyed the Classic.

Many thanks to Peter for sorting out the gazebo and getting soaked with us yesterday taking it back down.

Well done Scotland for bringing so many cars down, always good to see you guys this far South.

Nick, pleased the car got you home despite the dramas.

Jason/Lindsey - thanks for your company and help over the weekend.

Already looking forward to next year :bounce:

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the warm welcome and hospitality at Silverstone, despite the weather we had a really enjoyable weekend and will definitely be back for another Silverstone Classic!!! Worth the extra 700+ miles added over the weekend :D
