As described in the link, are we going to be a "pre-booked car club" at this event?

How curious. I turn up to find a parking area reserved for TIPEC and yet no one has had the courtesy to reply to this thread. Obviously I gave the wrong funny handshake last time out.

Glenn Brooklands is always ad-hoc, not sure what you expected from this post, a lot of those who go aren't on the forum. I know there are other TIPEC members there, Jim Garrard for one.
I have done it on the past & it is a good day.

There was nothing ad-hoc about the reserved TIPEC club parking area, Jim, complete with sign carefully placed by the Brooklands event organisers. Nicely lined up outside the hanger on the old start finish straight along with the other car clubs. You get one by calling Brooklands in advance and booking in as a pre-registered club. Instructions were on the web site. Someone from TIPEC obviously followed those instructions.

So... what did I want to achieve with this post? Originally I wanted to park with the car club of which I am a member... didn't work out that way. Very disappointing.

GlennS

We had a similar thread to this before and I feel pretty much the same as you.

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=15982

At times there seems to be a cloud a cloud of secrecy about what is going on that would do MI5 proud. I don't bother trying to get info now and just do my own thing.

I suspect the lack of available relevant and current info causes others to do the same....

Derek Flanagan did the arrangement as he he does every year. Generally visitors are from SELNK & SE hence not broadcasting out to a wider audience, maybe we should. Also Derek is not on the forum hence no communication on here. I hadn't noticed the post I must admit otherwise would have responded. Brooklands tends to be very weather dependent hence the organisation gets done A. closer to the date & B. among the few are likely to go.
I have an issue in that the organisers have put the pricing up in recent years which has also put people off.

Fundamentally I don't think anyone ignored you, they just missed a mail which was earlier than we'd normally do for this event.
