Yes, of course I'll pull over and wait for the sports cars to catch and pass, no problem :D

The white Panamera will make a good safety / pace SALOON car to lead us around and then pull over to let the SPORTS cars past!!!
Seriously though it will be good to catch up.
Are there a number of people thinking of staying nearby one or two nights - in which case any point in trying to get together??
Before you say it I acknowledge Kent then track day then home to Kent maybe a bit too much in one day for old farts like me!!

Several from North West region are staying Friday night at Premier Inn Scunthorpe. Most of us are friendly so you'd be welcome to muck in with us.

Dya have to have a driving license to drive on a track as Mr.Plod's laser today hinted that I might not have one by then? :(

I have spoken with the organisers today and there is a degree of concern about the rate of bookings. Obviously we're all only just starting to think about the "season" as we're still in the winter months but we really need to commit if we're going to have a club only event.

Effectively we need to fill this event by 1st April or else they will open the remaining slots to the public so they don't take a financial hit on the day. :(

It's up to us all to help fill this and convince me we can run a similar event every year at different circuits around the country and enjoy driving our cars hard - in safety.

Time to prove we're a car club :D See you there!

Paul

I think the North West region have a fair few members and close friends of the club already paid up and we're still pushing it as an event. How many Marcos owners have booked on?

ETA I'm pretty sure NW have 8 drivers and cars, plus two extra drivers booked.

Hi Paul,

Just an idea so to keep it all Porsche, what about offering PCGB spaces for the day?

Is it worth our communications director putting an email out to all the R.O.'s to push the event and to also ensure that all regions have it listed on their regional page?

I suggested a joint effort with pcgb local group on page one. I would be interested to know exactly how the bookings are going and how many Marcos types have booked on.

Sue has mentioned this in a recent note to all the RO's

We always open events up but not to start with, so that everyone has plenty of time to engage :)

It's always the same Richard, I will receive lots of comments after the event saying I wish I had booked to go

Sean, it's a real shame more from our great club don't embrace the opportunity at Blyton. I enjoy saying hello to friends from other regions at these events as much as the buzz I get from driving the track. I hope to be doing loads of track days this year....I only wish more of them could be with fellow club members
