That went well!

Brilliant weather. Superb track. Excellent atmosphere. Exemplary on-track etiquette. Very friendly folk. Odd driver briefing...

Tipec NW were out in force with 8 Porsches and 12 drivers signed on.

No one raced. No one got bullied. No one had a serious accident. Some people even managed to travel a long way to the venue!

Not one Marcos was seen all day: either in the paddock or on track.

What do we need to do to get more of the membership involved???

If you weren't there, you missed a great tipec day.

Good to meet both David and Nick - I trust that Friday's 'northern hospitality ' wasn't too much for you. You both seemed to enjoy Blyton which was great to see.

Great day today, the track was quiet, with like minded drivers and everyone was very courtesy, a fantastic and what felt a very safe trackday, thanks to those that made it happen, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on and off track, nice to catch up with fellow Tipec members, it truly was a day that would work for the novice and experienced track dayer.

In all completed 80 laps over the morning and afternoon session.

Finally thanks to all the other drivers that were on track excellent manners all round :D

I'm now back home in Hampshire after a superb track day. I'll echo the sentiments of the other contributors; everything about the day was excellent. Friendly and well run venue, good track manners and safe driving from all the participants and lots of good chat in the paddock. Even the weather was nice. Can't ask for more!

Same from me, what a great day as a novice to track days like myself.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my mate Simon (Honda S2000).

I'll stick some video up soon when I've gone through it all, just leaving to go on TV Curry run, fun never stops here :)

Got back to Kent in 4 hours, no issues and zero oil consumed. On the track, I went through about 3/4 of a litre of oil, but I was revving the nuts off it!

Apologies to those who now have to clean the oil film off the front of their cars

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and it was great to meet everybody. Respect to the NW posse 8)

Agree with what's already been said. I really can't stress how good this event was for a novice like me. The day involved driving as fast a you were comfortable with, whenever you wanted, for as long (or short) as you wanted, then standing around chatting with new people about all things Porsche, or just minding your own business if you prefer.

Worried about your car on a track day? Well, mine's a 944 cab, so hardly designed for the track. The only modification made was to slightly lower the tyre pressures. No need for specialist equipment or tools, not need for fancy adjustable suspension or brakes, just a working Porsche is all that's required.

It would be a real shame if this event didn't happen again as it was easily the best time I've had in my Porsche since I bought it. No question.

Thanks go to Paul for organising the event and also for making a novice feel welcome.

Cheers,
Bryan

I can only repeat the above remarks. A brilliant day with a nice group of people. Sensible fast driving on the track - absolutely nothing to fear for novices like me.
Many thanks to all involved in the organisation.

Fantastic day out, echo above posts 110%

Personally think the right amount of cars for the day, never overcrowded on track like some and what a great relaxed atmosphere, there will be no complaints about this event.

Must happen again, I would be happy to pay extra if that's what is needed

Thanks to everyone involved, Paul for setting the event up, track day organiser, Blyton owner and everyone that attend.

I knew I was going to enjoy it.....a big thanks for organising everything Paul :) I think about six other drivers had a go in my 944 and I really hope you enjoyed the car!

For those that didn't attend ...you missed a lot of fun. Let's hope we can have another day like this.

Here's a short video of my friend from TIPEC NW, Colin Hammerton driving my 944 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psXHb2gPhtw&feature=youtu.be
