Hi,

New member here.

I believe TIPEC attended Donington historic last year and central region have it on their events list for this year. Will there be a club infield area and can we book advance tickets ?

If so is there a code ?

Thanks

H

Interesting question. I went looking for the TIPEC stand to park with the group on the Sunday of the event last year and failed to find anyone.

We're not included on the list of clubs on the event web site so perhaps the answer is "no".

I have already answered this question on here when asked previously, we are not there as a Club this year. It doesn't look like any of the local regions are interested in attending this year.

Edit

We are now booked to attend and the code will be in the next issue of All Torque due out the first week in April.

Fair enough. I'll have to slum it and park with the other lot

I will probably be instructed to "park around the back out of sight" like I was last year, but at least it will save me the walk into the circuit

Seeing as there are a few of you wanting to go, do you want me to try and register?

Doesn't seem worth it unless you can be sure of a decent turn out. I would have thought having an empty pitch is worse than having no pitch as far as the club's image goes.

Then you will have at least one car (mine) on the pitch on the Sunday. If you want to give me a club banner at the AGM I will take that along and make sure it is flying proudly. :D

Ask Jason for the regional one.

Hi, guys,
Can I ask who will be going to Donnington Historic Festival in May this year?
Thanks to our chairman Sean, we have now been registered as a club for the event and I shall be going along with my son and his father-in-law = 3 x 944 cabriolets.
Cheers, Bob

I was thinking about going to the event for one of the days. I have not been before but it looks good.
What's the deal with the car clubs then? Is it an area where the members line the cars up to show?
I have a 996 C4S... is that historic enough to show :D
