Not really Laon but it was the base....Change of plan for us today had originally planned to head up to town and see the parade, I had a few work bits to sort in the AM from last week and travel planning for week after next so later than planned we headed out where it was pluie constante (constant rain).

We decided to have a drive out and head to Reims, which we did and found the old race pits and grandstand and we also saw the local motor dealer. Took in a spot of lunch a very nice beef and ale stew and a carbonara for mrsforge. We then took a scenic route back and it rained the whole time in spite of that we have had a great day.

Some Favourites from today

Another great weekend of Porsche fun :) We did the Marque proud, especially those 944 Ferrari's

It would be great to do something like this in the UK but the Health and Safety bods would never allow it. :(

Not a hope in the UK - apart from H&S there wouldn't be people turn out to watch in every village.

Good weekend, weather intervened a bit yesterday but as usual it was the company as well as the event that made the weekend. Good to put faces to names.

Sorry we missed you at the port, we arrived a little early and got offered a earlier return, with the journey back to Bristol to do we went for it. Strangely Pete and Wendy checked in 3rd in line and got straight onto the waiting boat - good for them.

Thanks to all who did the organising.

Mick

Thanks to everyone involved in the organisation!!! Even though we were out of the picture slightly (being in another hotel) we had a great time and met some great peeps. It was amusing watching some of the locals trying to work out whether or not to wave at us in our 'strange car'! Porsches & Palaces next - with a decent car!!!!

Thanks again, Waz & Saz

Nice to meet you and your wife Wazzer.
Sorry to hear the gory details of your Cayman "glich".

Hope it works out well for you in the end .... Good Luck.

At least your Insignia was rare .... there were even two 944 Cabs ... didnt see two insignia's !!

I'm sitting here quite depressed thinking about this time last year. I'm so looking forward to my next trip to Europe in my Porsche, whenever that may be. :D
