Think I ll get down to Donington this weekend as they will be wheeling out the ex John Cobb Napier -Railton for some demo laps at lunchtime both days. This car was built for Cobb by Thomson & Taylors in 1933 and was used mainly at Brooklands but also Bonneville and Montlhery to take many records including the Brooklands lap record at 143mph which still stands as of course Brooklands was shut down during the second world war.Donington is the only pre-war racing track still in use in the UK and as well as this 24litre W12 engined beastie there will be lots of lovely Alfas,Bugattis, E.R.A s etc to see.
