Ok - now booked and confirmed with a tunnel crossing around 7am on the friday. Exact crossing time will be confirmed as soon as the paperwork arrives from TD but they will ensure anyone booking via tunnel will be told which crossing we're using so everyone will be able to join up to convoy down together. 8)

I must admit I'm impressed by the way TD react to information and then follow through - looks like they're the right company to look after us.

Looking forward to the trip already and its still 8 months off

Bristol now have 6 cars booked and I hope to perhaps get a few more. Now on our list: Pete, Richard, Mick, Gareth, Mervyn and me, + partners/kids/hamsters... We are travelling out from Portsmouth with LD Lines overnight on Thurs, back on Mon pm. For info, if you have not yet booked and are considering the trip, you can reserve direct with the Le Mans Classic team - it will cost you in Euros what it would cost you in £s with the UK tour operators. Having said that, you will have to camp in Maison Blanche (one of the better campsites!).

Info here: http://www.lemansclassic.com/2008/uk/index.html

Any other regions interested??

Paul, re your attempt to fleece us for beer, I thought you'd have realised that we only drink scrumpy down 'ere!! I'll make a point of bringing a couple of flagons for you...

I have booked ferry for Friday at 7.00am and returning on Monday at 13.30pm with Speed Ferries for £77.00 return.
Just need some drinking money and a few quid for the petrol in the 928?
Looking forward to it already.
Have ten of us camping near the Dunlop bridge and camping costs 20 euro's each.

Regards
John

That's pretty good but you have to add the cost of parking, tickets, grandstand and paddock supplements etc? Allowing for a 10% price rise at the circuit that will add around £75 -£80 to the cost. That will make the total cost about £172 pp
We're paying about £37 pp more with Travel Destinations but I suppose that's for the privelege of the ABTA guarantee, reserved marked out camping so we can park together and better toilet/shower to person ratio than the other campsites. I'm still happy with the deal :D

Of course then we shall all have to add the cost of beer

Ferry is £77.00 between two of us, Camping 20 euro's each, Parking is Free, Standard ticket to circuit is about 45 euro's and we sit at the side of the track with cold beers for free. But may buy a paddock ticket for the weekend? Also like the location of site in someone's back garden. Anyway do not what to many people on are site.
Your site at £172.00 is still cheap though, not sure how much PCGB are charging but will be a lot more.
It's a lads weekend away so do not mind camping and living rough for a few days Paul. Will have to arrange a meeting place for a chat & drinks?
Regards
John

Had contact with Vincent Flandin from Porsche Club France, the pack detail for booking entry tickets and access to dedicated Porsche Parking infield will not be available untill mid February. If you book through other organisations will not be able to get into the dedicated area.
May not be of interest to those camping on site but those staying outside in hotels etc the parking is superb.
Will post when i get details
