I am re-starting this thread that was originally on P1 so that everyone can keep up to date with developments.

As you may be aware we are off to the Le Mans Classic next year (11th to 13th July) and we have agreed to let Travel Destinations deal with all the bookings as they have huge experience at Le Mans.

We have spoken at length with Travel Destinations and have agreed that we will transfer campsite from Maison Blanc - The club campsite will now be located at Hunaudieres which is on the internal corner of Tetra Rouge. Everyone that has already booked will be contacted and asked if they are ok with the move but I would recommend checking with Travel Destinations on 08700 339923 to check/confirm your booking.

The reason for the change is to be located nearer to the Bugatti circuit ( which will be the centre of the event) and to have a designated club area so we can all pitch up together. This could not be guaranteed at Maison Blanc

With regard to pricing £300-£350 per person includes camping permits, tickets and paddock access including overnight crossing with cabin and hotel on the sunday night in Caen. If you travel via the tunnel and don't include the hotel etc the cost comes down to around £209 which might be a better option if you're trying to keep costs down.

Please note that the campsite at Hunaudieres will only be available to folk that have booked with Travel Destinations and is reserved specifically for the attending car clubs. We will pitch up together in an area reserved for Porsches and have a great weekend so if you're thinking of going - come along with the club :D

Obviously I'm going with Brian Rowledge but there are several other bookings already with Travel Destinations. Unfortunately I can't get details because of Data Protection etc so not sure who they are??

If you have booked please add your names here so we can enjoy a bit of banter before the event itself. :D

Some folk will still use the overnight from Portsmouth-Caen and meet us at Le Mans but there are several of us that will use the Tunnel and have more of a drive on the other side.
Plan to meet up and convoy down together - would be good if you could join us :D

If we going to meet up for the drive we need to make sure we all have the same crossing through the tunnel.
I was thinking of early on the friday (11th July) - say 6-7am

Does that work for everyone??

Yes - Travel Destinations (TD) will sort the tunnel crossing for us. I just want to be sure that we are going to cross early morning. If you're ok with that I will confirm my booking and make sure that TD make everyone aware which crossing we're using so that everyone has a chance to join up.
