Hiya 928GT (i'm sure you've got a real name too :) )

I'm the ARO for the Thames Valley region and as you're only a couple of miles away from me, I expect to be dragging you to our April meet :D

I'm also an ex 928 owner (wow you gotta love that V8 sound)

If I can be of any help at any time or just a general car chat,
there's a few pubs in the couple of miles in between :drunken:
Or if you want a hand swapping the relay over

feel free to call me
I've sent you a PM with my contact details etc

Hi Jason, I responded to your pm and yes I do have a name - James Van Buskirk. I do love that V8 sound when I can hear it!

I would love a hand with the relay if possible...lets hook up!

Today Jason helped me swap relays around and disconnect the battery to reset the MAF settings in case that was the problem. Non of it seemed to work.

In the end I decided to start it and keep it running by keeping my foot on the accelerator for a few minutes until it had warmed up, then I drove around for about an hour with no stalling issues. After an hour or so I went out again in it and it started fine with no problems and no further stalling.

This just seems such a strange problem, and only seems to disappear after the car has been warmed up for a few minutes, then its fine for the rest of the day!!! :? :? :?

I would read up on the cold start subsystem and start your investigation there, if the AFM checks out ok.

Ya need a workshop manual. Haynes or otherwise. I know you can download scanned versions of the porsche original 944 ones but not sure on the 928. Anyhew I thought you were going to take it to a specialist for diagnosis?
