surely if you do your run, and it pops at the end, the run doesnt count??

ok, speed would have been acheived but at what cost?

i admire your enthusiasm, doing something because it hasnt been done...

fingers crossed!

Hi :)

Top speed runs (like Top Fuel Dragsters)..its the speed and time you go through the beams that count..it doesn't matter if you do it in bits lol.

As I am doing this for MY benefit, and not for anyone else's... I will work on the same principle, so even if the engines has blown or worse even if I go over the line rolling end over end...as long as I hit 200 plus I will be happy..ish lol :)

All th best Brett :)

As to it has not been done..
Did not DEVEK'S famous 6 litre white car finally manage 200 Mph in California?
It reguarly was used for +190 drives as it was the demo car for DEVEK

Hi Stepa :)

You are absolutely correct, Not only the Devek car, but several other Supercharged or Stroked 928s have hit over 200 mph in the US.

My aim was to be the "Fastest Porsche in the UK" as its never been done here....to achieve my aim I would need to hit 206 mph plus..... 205/206 if the Official top speed of the Carrera GT.

Now as I have said.....maybe I will do it and maybe I will not and maybe there will be a very big bang lol and maybe a LOT of people will have to eat their words about me being insane ...IF I do it...hehe....

And to be honest it has taken me a LOT longer to get my 928 ready for this than I ever planned and hopefully it "should" be this year as I only have three things left to do now....

1, Fix my ABS (it would be nice to be able to stop :) )

2, Final Nitrous setup.

3, Fit chute.

Then its just a matter of finding somewhere that will let me run with my noise levels and off I go......hopefully :)

I will let everyone know where and when I am going to run, so they can watch if they wish....whatever happens :)

All the best Brett :)

Brett

I have every confidence in you.
Probably set a TiPEC record too.
My ex-girlfriend had a 928 S2 in the same colour as yours that responded really well to being driven hard.

Are you going to be at Gaydon?

Stephen

Hi Brett,I will be at Poole Quay next Friday assuming my old banger gets me there! Look forward to meeting you and the 928! Have you thought about Elvington airfield near York for your run? its where Hammond did his rocket powered run and went over 300 mph so must be big enough I would have thought? Good to hear you are getting closer to the EVENT.Let me know if you want anything fetching down from the Wizards,I guess you havent got much time to spare now that you re a film star!!!

Hi :)

My 928 at Poole Quay will be the one as always that has the biggest crowd around it lol...

I will be wearing a black Wizards polo shirt with Wizards of Nos in yellow on back and will be very pleased to see you :)

I will be coming up to Doncaster soon for some final Nitrous work....maybe I can do it on a Tipec night ?

Film star lol....that will be the day :)

Maybe when someone asks me....

"Well Brett what does it feel like to own the fastest Porsche in the UK"

OR

"Well Brett what are you going to do with that pile of pieces of engine and car"

Answers are....

1, Make it faster....

2, Same as the 1 sticker on my Snap-On toolboxes.....

RACE IT
BREAK IT
FIX IT
REPEAT

:)

Elvington would be fine IF they let me run with close to 120 Db :(

All the best Brett :)

This any good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NX-NITROUS-EXPRESS-Kit-4150-HITMAN-PLUS-4-BBL-40041-00_W0QQitemZ180354921108QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item180354921108&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1689%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
Sure it needs a bottle. But I'm still 45hp short of my target! Think this must be the cheapest way to pick up a genuine 50HP at the wheels. Sure the engine is strong enough.
