The MAF from my 1986 S2 is now off the car and in the post on its way to John Speake for testing.

Must admit I'm really interested to find out how shot the unit is after 20 years of use.

It was shot!!!

Delay getting back on the road as belt/water pump etc needed to be sorted before I could really push the car and see what difference the new MAF makes.

Been out today and tickled the loud pedal a bit and god has it made a difference :headbang:

Hi Paul :)

John did mine a while ago when I sort of popped mine with a small Nitrous explosion lol

It was MUCH better afterwards...smoother tickover, and slightly more power, particularly in the mid range :)

All the best Brett :)

Been using the old girl as a daily car this last week (whilst waiting for the N1 tyres for the 944) and covered about 500 miles.

If anything she's now running even better. I think a combination of the new MAF and the regular use were just what the doctor ordered. She's absolutely flying :D

Been having so much fun in the '44 I had forgotten how much I love the '28
