Hi All, may be a stupid question and asked many times. I have an issue with my sunroof. Was working fine until I was testing for why my elec window wasn't working. I disconnected the plug from the sunroof switch then ran 12v to the top two pins to test. It worked perfect. Opened and closed really quick (maybe not a good thing  ). I cant get the sunroof to operate with the switch now. Have I burnt out a relay or fuse. I have checked all the visible fuses on the fuse box. Is there any other relays fuses I need to check.

Thanks
Raj

First thing to check is electrical, repeating what you did before.

Disconnect the plug from sunroof switch, and apply power directly. If it works then you've eliminated problems with fuses/relay.

Put a meter (resistance) or easier continuity tester on the sunroof switch connector. Does it make the circuit when you operate the switch?

If I the switch is not closing electrically, and the sunroof operation checks out ok, then there is a common problem with the switches in centre console where they catch on the vinyl surround if it shrinks, stopping the rocker from making contact. You may have replaced the switch in a slightly different position so that this is happening. There's a good chance any problem is related to the last thing you did, so this could be very likely cause.

Adrian

Here's a detailed how to re the switches, although this is about the window switches, the sunroof switch suffers similar problems.

Thanks guy's will give that a go. I did try 1 of the elec window switches and still no luck. That switch did operate the windows. So switch was fine.
