928 S2 1986. I have never had a spare ignition key for my Porsche, so after 20 years have decided to get one. Not easy !! I have tried all suggestions & come up blank(pun not intended). Anybody know who might stock blanks ( 2.50 cms size ) in the Portsmouth or Bournemouth area & be able to cut keys at 45 degrees. All suggestions welcome.

I used the online shop keysinthepost.com for my 944 key and have no complaints about them

The other way & in some ways better is to order one from an OPC. That is what I did with my 944, that way you use a fresh correctly cut key not some knackered, worn, possibly bent one.
I did get one cut from mine but the first one didn't work & the guy doing it took that as an insult & persevered until he got one to work! This was a key specialist in Devon. Mobile in Trago Mills actually!

Not used them myself, but these guys have a fantastic reputation in 928 circles. Yes it's Australia, but just email a photo of your key!

Not used them myself, but one owner on the 928 list has mentioned a business in Ferndown called Well Healed cut a replacement key for him.

I sent a photo to keys4classics and their key worked first time for me too.

Just realised where you are! The one in Bovey Tracey, it was a few years ago during the summer, the guy had a mobile van doing it but ran a big business in South Devon doing lock outs & immobiliser issues. I think he had a shop. As I say he cut the first one from my old one & I went away with it & it didn't work. So drove the car to him & he was more than a little miffed that his work was "defective" He then persevered with it for around an 30 mins until it did work on ALL the locks.
He charged me for just the initial key.

But unless you're "master" is 100% I'd get one from an OPC to the chassis number.
