Interesting 928 for sale on ebay.

If anyone wanted a second pair of eyes to come along for a viewing, I live near Woking.

She looks nice in the photos, and a manual too!

Personally I'm wary. Bidding already near £2000, and you could spend far more on fixing just the declared faults (excluding the no-start problem, which sits oddly with reassurance that it's been regularly run) than on an S2 in fine condition to start with. 928s are a buyers' market too.

That's assuming less expensive solutions to problems listed e.g non-working a/c could be a £20 freeze switch, or you could be looking at a £400 compressor! Similarly for other problems declared.

I love 928s, but repeat it's a buyers' market, so you would have to virtually pay someone to drive this away for it to be a worthwhile exercise (unless they break for parts which is a sad prospect)

In fairness he only states it's been turned over, not started, and the bidding is over £2000. so he's hardly going to be paying someone to take it away.
I'd rather buy one that was taxed and mot'd though.

Fair point on run not started - I don't find that any more reassuring though.

It's worth far more than the current bid for parts, so if someone has space and time to break it then good luck to them but it's sad end for an early manual. My calculation on what it's worth paying for it was about returning her to drivable condition which is probably not in her future!
