Anyone got a replacement S4 engine

My 928 S4 1988 has suffered an engine seize these last weeks. Seems its the bottom end bearings.
Does anyone know of a second hand good engine around at a good price?

Philip (928nut on here) had a spare one last year, before I sold my S4. Worth a PM if you really need one?

Paul Anderson will be doing the work - he had an engine lined up for me but it has a problem so thats why I am on the search for a replacement one.

Unfortunately I have had to source a replacement engine for my 928 which I am picking up tomorrow hopefully and taking it down to Paul Anderson to finish off and install in my 928.
However the inlet manifold and cam covers are missing. Anyone have a spare set of cam covers & inlet manifold painted up they want to sell?

While some people will slate DVB, if they have something you need then it's worth whatever you'll pay for it. Worth a call I think. :?:

I should be in Scotland on Monday and will phone a few places. The cam covers are the same as 944 S2? So it's the inlet manifold that's the hard part?

Sorry mate, has been made here. I have now got an Inlet manifold from Alex Popov and Paul NAderson will sort me out with some silver cam covers so I should be sorted now by the end of this week - hopefully!

Have had less luck getting the car down to Paul Andersons - been let down by 2 different transport companies to do the job tomorrow - crazzy! It shouldn't be so difficult to get a car moved - well for a sensible price anyway.

Just glad you're getting sorted Steve. I didn't rummage through George Morrisons spares container in the end, so no big deal. I do think he's has enough parts to build 2 good cars there. :lol:

Just out of interest...anyone got a spare 3 inch speaker grill, the smallest one nearest the door hinge ?

Mine has vanished

... dropped off when I opened the door I suspect...
