I love the colour of your car, what colour is that, Black?

I need to respray mine (928S4) as its purple, not as bad a sit sounds, but is a bit tired now, thinking of a midnight blue.

It was love at first sight. I had been looking for quite a while. My ideal was out there, she had to be dark with a light coloured interior. Not too many miles on the clock with a good service history. I wanted all electrics working. I wanted a lot. Then I saw her and I knew she was the one. But she was a light blue with a dark blue interior surely I should stick to my guns and go dark on the outside. No, I was a hooked there could be no other. She's beautiful!

Thanks Brett,

I only picked her up last Saturday so was unsure of the colours name but thought I read somewhere that it could be 'Horizon Blue'?

Is that a Porsche colour?

I look forward to joining you all at a meeting so I can show her off and learn from you guys all about 928's.

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

What a gorgeous looking 928!

Is it a GTS? Manual? Can't quite tell from angles whether she has GTS "haunches", but it is a GTS reflector.

There should be a sticker with the paint code in several places:

- on frame above passenger door latch
- under carpet in hatch
- one of first pages of service history book (or is it the owner's manual?)

Anyway you should find one of these! Can then look up the paint code or just post it here.

Cheers

Adrian

Beautiful looking car, it does look well looked after. My guess is a late S4 auto? Does have cup mirrors though. :D

Yes she's a very late S4, 1993. I'm told by the last owner that she sat in the Porsche showroom for a year due to the GTS being available nobody wanted her. I do. She has just under 73K on the clock and and looks and feels like a new car. In for a cam belt and water pump next week and hopefully they will be able to look at the heating even though the air con works fine. Then there is only one other very small detail that I hope to fix myself and that is one of the screen washers, the one that sprays a concentrate, doesnt work on the passenger side although the water spray works on both. I forgot to add that she is an auto. And thanks for the tip of where to find the colour ref. Horizon Blue metallic.
