Just a note for anyone not on the 928 UK list. One of our Scottish TIPEC members arranged a 928 UK meeting on Scotland nearly 2 years ago. He is attempting to have another, which I'm quite looking forward to. The provisional dates are either the 2nd or 3rd of July this year. There is also a provisional venue (linky) which is approximately an hour over the border ( 45 minutes in a 928 ), just of the M74. 30 minutes from Edinburgh and 40 minutes from Glasgow. Once Jason has firmed up the dates and venue, I'll put a note back on here let you know. Anyone who wants come along and talk about 928's can feel free to join in. :D

The date is now confirmed as Saturday the 2nd of July this year. There is also a confirmed venue (linky) which is approximately an hour over the border ( 45 minutes in a 928 ), just of the M74. 30 minutes from Edinburgh and 40 minutes from Glasgow. Anyone who wants come along and talk about 928's can feel free to join in. You can either reply to 928 UK list or add your name here, this will help in letting the hotel know for food so everyone enjoys themselves.:D

Hi Lee,

Thanks for the heads up about this, will try and get along! Looks like quite a nice run up the A68 too!

Is anyone else heading up going through Newcastle?

Cheers

The table is booked and I've sent another email out to get numbers. No one replied yet from the east coast, but if anyone does, I'll let you know. It would be good to get a 928 convoy up that road. We are hoping to have a local air con' specialist there, so you will be able to get your system checked/diagnosed/re-gassed if necessary. Again, if you want this, please let me know as he might need your chassis number to check for parts.

Offer is open to all, and under no obligation to attend if you just want information.

Phil is bringing his SE, which I want to look at. I've never seen one before.

Ja$on is on holiday and has asked me to remind anyone interested that the meeting is this Saturday coming, 2nd of July. All are welcome. It is an informal day including my 2 favourite subjects, our cars and food. I'm sure everyone will enjoy themselves, as the last one Ja$on organised was real fun. :D

The weather has been booked for tomorrow, looks like it is going to be a scorcher. A fellow TIPEC member has just confirmed he will be there in his 1980 manual with 40,00 miles on the clock. He changed the cam belt a few weeks ago and it is getting a rare run out. :D I've only seen the car once before.

Had a great time. Great people, great cars, great venue and great weather. Rather funny making a new bride wait to get her photos taken, so we could line the cars up at the front of the building.

Thank you to the TIPEC members who made the journey to be there. Great bunch of guys and all of them love their Porsche.
Edited to add the link to the rest of the photos.

Looks like it was fun, sorry to have pulled out late Lee. I hope you weren't charged or anything for the change in numbers? (tell the truth now :o )

Nope, no charges. The venue was great. All very easy to accommodate who did and who didn't want food and drink. Worked out well. Even the bride who had to wait for her wedding photos was quite plesant about it all. Had cars jacked up in the car park and a few air con regasses too, very nice place. As always, the cars were stunning. Phil's SE was beautiful. Reg's '86 has the lowest genuine recorded mileage that Porsche can confirm, @ 36,000 miles.

We would like to make it an annual event. Any one interested?

Definitely!

Perhaps it could be coincided with another event? Like a show or similar? Just incase you were open to ideas!

Thanks Lindsay, it was a fun day. A couple of guys had to pull out, so we were missing a GTS and an S. Great day though.

Very interested. I could speak to Jason and Mike, maybe the Selkirk show on the 18th of September this year? Jason fancies a north, north trip too. We could do a couple a year? They have Merry Millar and Tilford down south? What do you think?
