Hi All,

I'm thinking of developing a S2/Turbo fog light protector that can be easily retro fitted over the existing fog lights and removed if necessery for cleaning/maintenance. I'd like peoples feedback via this poll to see if this is something other owners would be interested in. If I get a good response, I plan to approach an engineering company to produce said protector.

Ducts or duct's and lights for me, but saying that I think £20 isn't bad for a set of plastic covers for the lights.

Porschapart used to sell the hard plastic protectors that fitted over the front fogs but ran out of stock several years ago. May be worth contacting them to see if they can do another run. Be silly to reinvent the wheel

Hi Paul,

I've called Porschapart already. Completely sold out long ago. The only thing they seem to sell is like a sticky back plastic now. IMO that is not going to stop the light getting broken.

I've designed something that is unobtrusive and simple to fit. Watch this space - details to follow.

I've just had Paintshield added to the front of my S2 after a respray, they also fitted an extra think protective film to my spotlights that apparently can protect the lens from a 1inch stone at 125mph!, they did mine for free, not sure how much they would be separately but worth a call.

So I've just shelled out for a new sidelight glass so now I want to protect them - did we get anywhere with this?
I'm struggling to see how any film will protect glass from a speed impact - it might hold it together but it would break all the same surely?

Hi, Good idea as the lenses are expensive to replace. Let us know once you got some. I did away with my fog lights all togther on both my turbos and I may do the same on my current one too. I, used the pod for getting more air to the front brakes for track use. It worked well. Pictures below.

I have put a set of OEM protectors in to get copies made if anyone is interested? DOn't have a solid price yet as need to price up the small bracket components.
