I was just wondering if there was any difference between the fuel pump on an early 944 compared to a late one? I know the later one is kept inside a cover and the older one is just on a bracket next to the tank but wasn't sure if the actual pump is the same.

I have found out that 0 580 464 069 is the correct part number for a later car so was just wondering if that would also be suitable for my 1983 car.

Thanks
Rob

For some reason I didn't think of checking that despite consulting the PDF for something this morning.

That gives me the following part numbers:
944 608 102 01
944 608 102 04

So I'm still none the wiser :?

ETA: Was asking as there is a new one currently going for cheap on ebay and ending soon but I'm going off down the pub now so going to miss the end anyway. Just gives me a reason to sort out my brakes instead!
