How do you get the cover off the coil on a 2.5.?Haynes manual just says remove the coil cover.Ive tried pulling at it but thought it best to ask before i pull any harder.Cant see any fixing devices apart from a little grub screw at the bottom. Anybody done this?

It's in two halves hinged at one side. Seperates with a screwdriver. Just snaps together. Get brutal. (No grub screw in mine )

Got the coil cover off by levering it apart with a screwdriver.Easy when you know how.Thanks "J.J.".I got brutal with it.!.What I thought was a grub screw turned out to be the male part of the snap connection.I really need to get to an optician.If only they had left another 1/4 inch!!It was worse trying to get it back on as it is so close to the headlamp winding gear.Anyway,reason I wanted to get it off was to do a compression check which I have now done.Cylinders 1 2 and 4 gave me over 14.5 bar and 3 gave me 15 which according to Gunsons who made the tester is o.k. Ive been unsure as to whether I was losing water,but recently found out that you should check the level when its hot not cold.Ive been putting extra water in when I didnt need to and its been coming out the overflow when Ive stopped and switched off. The header tank is so discoloured its difficult to see the level.Maybe I should take it off and give it a good clean out.I had been thinking that I needed a top end rebiuld but now I dont think thats neccessary yet.Ill get the belts changed and perhaps a new water pump too as I read somewhere that it should be changed every second belt change.I had them done 3 years ago (7500miles) and new tensioners too so its probably about time to do them again. It was so good to drive it today ,just to warm it up that after Id done the test I went out again.Now ive got a big grin that goes from ear to ear.!!!
