Hi folks.
Has anyone had water gather in foot well behind the driver`s seat on a 944S2
My sunroof has been covered over, so it`s not leaking from there.
The water seems to come from the box section that the driver seat bolts onto and then pools at the handbrake lever. It`s not coming from the door or the quarter window. It just seems to appear, and it`s driving me crazy!
Any suggestions are welcome
Thanks.
Martin

I have taped over the sunroof temporarily in an attempt to discover the leak.

Check the hatch seal, run some vaseline around the seal & check that all the drainsare connected from the hatch pins to the rear arch pipes. ALso the fuel filler flows into there as well. Check the door drains aren't blocked as well.

sounds like front sunroof drain pipe to me, heard of quite a few cracking lately (plastic and age) or of course it could simply be blocked or come adrift

Do what a lot of Porsche owners do. Don't go out in the rain. (They melt when they get wet, you know!) :toothy2: :toothy10: :toothy7:

If i can`t find the leak then i will buy some fish put them in the foot well and have a mobile aquarium!
Thanks for the suggestions.
Just had the S2 serviced+new pads and sensors all round. New gearbox oil ,a couple of brake hoses and a new fuel line. Caliper pistons only pushing the pads on one side of the disc, so braking wasn`t too good. Pads took the mechanic ages to free out, and many blood blisters on his hands! The whole lot cost £400.
Does that sound reasonable?

The work was carried out by a specialist garage called Millburn Garage. Located in a small village called Stow, near the Scottish side of the border.

How did you guess? You're lucky. The S doesn't come with these sort of calipers.

Yes, I finished at 8. I normally can't get on the computer, because Kate's on myspace.
