Lindsay where did you get 15(68 turbo's) from? Peter Morgan has always claimed the 4 S's and 2 RS's but then a 5th one (S) turned up in America with full provenance, chassis numbers etc which was confirmed with Porsche as being an original, there are several on the 968uk forum which have been built from CS base's as well as Dutch, German and Norwegian replica's I know of along with a string of supercharged versions, 9meisters being perhaps the comonest but I have never heard 15 before?
Hello and welcome to the forum Clive, lets have some pictures of your turbo on the thread, when are we going to see you at the Bell, theres a meet on Sunday?

i have a disc with production numbers per year, option codes, colour codes etc

Back to the S2; the timing chain - I've heard a few warning noises about this. Is it something to worry about?

No big deal, they need changing every 4 years. £300 on average.

It's not worth the risk, for £75 a year.

I used to have a 951 (great car), and am now hankering after a 952. Is an S2 a worthy consideration, however, or would it be slightly disappointing in comparison?

I've had an S2, and now have a late 951 Turbo Cab.
Its fitted with a Superchip giving +35 bhp, and also a boost enhancer from Promax, so boost lag is significantly reduced.

Result is very smooth power delivery & bags of performance ....
If you've already had a 951 I think you would be slightly disappointed in the S2, and given current Turbo prices there are many excellent examples out there.
