Hi folks,
Thinking of getting myself a 944 in the next few months.
I did consider it about 18 months ago, but it didn't happen then for various reasons.

Now I'm in the market again, and have spent a week or so searching places like these forums, autotrader, ebay (yes, I know, but I've been lucky with my last 3 car purchases on ebay !)

I did try to join the titanic list again, but havent managed to do that yet .. is it still up & running ?

So, basically, where is a good place to find a reasonably priced oval dash 2.5 ?

Is a budget of around 2.5k to 3k reasonable ?

All pointers welcome :)

Cheers, and happy new year :)

disclaimer : Yes, I posted same thing on pcgb forum ... It worked 2 years ago for my 911 :)

Yep. Been there looking also.

Was getting very tempted by some nice S2's but then realised the tax over here for a 3L car is 1100 euro a year :(

I dont like the old dash models, as I had a 924 and it brings back bad memories ;)

OK, so there is no "secret private members only" place where good 944's change hands ?

Or do I have to come over there & invade a meet ?

no secret squirrel society for selling 944s, but they do seem a bit thin on the ground at the moment

I think unless they are desperate for the money, people tend to sell sports/collectors cars in the spring/summer, as they tend to get more interest in these months. (And thus get a better price for them).

I’ve still got a good one for sale!

It’s not on eBay any more because it just wasn’t selling at this time of year.

Thread here

Yep. I've seen that one advertised everywhere I've looked ;)
Nice car alright. Will you take 1500 for it

I'll keep it in mind.

I'm only starting my search, as I'll have to sell one of my current cars before I can get another.

Cheeky bugger. You’ll fit right in on this forum …

Someone down in the South posted up This one for sale over on Porsche-1.net today, haven’t seen it advertised anywhere else yet. You might need to be a member to view that, I can’t remember.
