Unfortunatly I'm a much better at taking photos than detailing my car. the paintwork is shocking up close, really oxidised and swirly. I'm probably going to get a re-spray when i've fixed the remaining mechanical grumbles. I quite fancy the Yellow they did the 986 boxters in and re-con the alloys in black. Although I think for now i just need some sage advice on polishing 'cos I'm making a pigs-ear out of it at the moment. Incidentally It lives in a garage. I've just put up a shed to get all the gardening rubbish out of my cars house.
This is it half way through Renovo cleaner/reviver/sealer. Which I recommend for anyone with a 20 year old roof! Anyhow Im drifting off topic here.. Ben

NOOOOOOOOOOO! Don't paint it yellow! It looks the dogs b*ll*cks in black. I'm sure there's stuff you can get to get the swirl marks out. (One little tip is, don't wash or polish it in a circular motion. Follow the contours of the body.)

Oh it empties it out of the lower balance shaft cover or the casting the filter bolts on to, I think. I thought it was a feature

A good machine polish will sort out the majority of the swirls.

It worked a treat on my cabby when I did it last Autumn.

Here's mine, 1989 83000miles, black with black leather. Still needs a bit of TLC but I would rather be driving than polishing.

I get the jist that he no longer owns the 944S, Lindsay. (So you're still the only S in the village.)

Love the Porkas, Ray & Derrick. They both look great with those alloys.

Hi Derrick,
I sold the 944S just before buying the cab but it was a great car and made me realise I could have a Porsche and afford to eat :D
We live North of Bedford near Sharnbrook, my son travels on the A6 to work in Brickhill at about 7:15am (not in the cab' no matter how many times he asks) and mentioned he always sees a red 944 going the other way so it's probably you?

And Ben, it was the plate that prompted me to post the pic's, as you say a bit spooky :o
