quite a big thread on this over at porsche club gb forum. so-so reaction by a fair few saying theres too much gold hammerite in there?

its VERY clean.

nice to see what the underneath looked like new :)

Yes but underneath the paint & polish what condition is it really in. Thats only cosmetic! In daily use would look like mine in 6 mths :lol:

That's mint, but what's the point? If you drove it anywhere, you'd then have to spend the rest of the day cleaning it. It belongs a museum or just to be trailered to concours shows maybe? I think it's a waste of a good car that was built to be driven.

each to their own imo, rather someone obsessively cleaning their car than wrapping it around a tree, after reading so many threads about writeoffs and breakers its nice to see the opposite. ;)

We all buy cars for different reasons, mine are all used and treated very differently.

His next project of 944T Cab is going to be interesting to watch bring up to this standard.

That is pretty insensitive.

Some of use chose to use these cars regularly and enjoy them as the maker intended, so there is always a finite risk involved.

Most of the 944s that are written off appear to be so on economical grounds (mine was/is no different).

And just because mine was used all the time I still found time to clean it appropriately. Not obsessively, mind; I'll leave that to others who don't enjoy driving their cars as much as polishing them!

Very nice indeed but what a waste I would not dare take that out on the roads for fear of getting it dirty or stone chipped, thought these cars were for driving doesn't look like that one has done much roadwork for some time.

1 month with me and it would look a bit more lived in.

I saw this particular car at Silverstone last year.. One word .. Stunning..! Its even better in the flesh than it is in the pictures. I didnt get to see where the car ended up in the overall/class standings... Too many distractions :lol:
