Hi,
Has anyone fitted or had any experience of the Italian Supersprint exhaust system
for a 944 s2?. This is sold by Porscheshop. Supersprint claim that this system adds
between 10 to 12 extra hp.

Thanx Warren

For 12hp you will need a manifold to go with it. :| My Dansk gave me 5 at the wheels 4000rpm up. Not seen anything better.

5 hp at the wheels, that's not far off at all from 10-12 at the crank, and your's is a Lux,the supersprint is for S2.
Supersprint is one of the best exhaust manufacturers in the world,10-12hp seems a believable gain for an S2.
If you decide to buy ask them if that is a real supersprint exhaust they are selling and not something else, here in italy that same supersprint exhaust costs about 1000E so it seems a little strange to me that porscheshop is selling under 600.

5 at the wheels is not 10/12 crank. If that was the case my car would have 280 to 300 hp flywheel! (if only) I'd say 8HP would be nearer the mark flywheel. You generaly lose 20% flywheel to wheels. The stock exhaust isn't bad. Only worth doing if you need a new one anyway & a good aftermarket stainless one can be cheaper than a stock Porsche mild steel one.

I didn't say 5hp is 10/12 flywheel,i said it's not far off,8hp would be right.
You gained 8hp on a Lux and we all know it's not that easy to get extra power from the 8v n/a.
The s2 is a different beast and 10/12hp gain from the exhaust is more than realistic.
I agree with you that it's not worth buying unless the stock one is shot.
I'm sure that with the Dansk, that is much cheaper, the gain would be about the same.

Agreed. Bit OT but how do you keep that thing straight driving it in Rome. Every car I've seen out there has a dent or several

Id expect to lose between 15% and a maximum of 17% on a 944; so that 5hp equates to under 6hp at the flywheel.

ok,ok,so it's realy almoust 6hp,nothing wrong with being optimistic,is it lol.Let's just say it's too small of a gain for the price of the supersprint, although depends how deep your pockets are.
Take a look at the price they have here lol http://www.ricambituning.it/product1.as ... 944&md=563
