Early 944 clutch change- sorry to ask

Post by Les »

Hi all,
Sorry to ask, but I couldent quite find the answers
In a search!
I have the engine out of my early 944 non turbo.
Looking to change the old rubber clutch for the
Spring one. Could anyone send me a link to any of
The kits? I found various ones on a Google search but
I'm not which is right?
Couple of other questions!- does it use the original
Pressure plate and ring gear? Anything else needed
To make everything work?
Thanks in advance
Les

Hi Les

Frazerpart will supply you with a good quality kit that is right for your car, and not rubber. The kit should contain a clutch disc, a pressure plate and a release bearing (certainly does for a late car). Probably worth buying new bolts for it while you are at it. I would expect around £500 for the kit, although I've never priced one for an early car, so not sure of the ins and outs. Max at Frazerpart is worth calling to discuss it, he is very helpful.
