I have a S2 head I'm rebuilding but new stem seals are a little bit confusing? I have part number 964104111107 that seems to fit every Porsche from that era, 964, 928 and 944, according to design911 but as they are costing around £13 each and having just bought a full set of 24 for my 996 at £17 I didn't fancy paying that much for a set of 16 for the 944 head, when I check other retailers I can get them for other Porsche's of this era but they are apparently not compatible with an S2 which is the opposite to what Design911 are saying? When I bought them for my 944S they came in the gasket set so I didn't need to buy them separately. The listed size I am seeing for the S2 is different to the ones I removed and have measured. VICTOR REINZ 12-26058-03 at £22 a set seem to be compatible according to ebay but when I emailed the seller he said they are not compatible. I am also seeing the Elring 596.981 again fit most cars of the era that are on the Design911 list but this is not listed as fitting the S2 either even though its the correct part number that Design911 show, 964104111017. Any ideas what part I should be looking for at a reasonable price? |

Also the same as the 968 stem seals https://www.rosepassion.com/en/parts-po ... 4625-21376 On buycarparts.co.U.K. They are 69p each |

Thanks chaps, I was just going around in circles, scratching my head due to the design911 site part number I just usually go there for a quick P/N check but got caught up in that number and didn't check PET. I'll go forward with the 928 P/N and get a set ordered, 69p is a bargain. |

I think Corteco were original, same folks who made the original hydro engine mounts I was fitting cruise to my 968, needed a short throttle cable, Design911 wanted £45 plus shipping, Porsche dealership wanted £10.40 for the same part Sometimes these places are just crooks |

I used to get a few parts from Design911 but I have just got prices from them, Rose Passion and OPC for my 996 engine rebuild and OPC has come out cheapest for most of the parts, a few years ago I got most of my parts from Design911 so either Porsche have got competitive or they have got expensive? |
