I have some electrical issues with my 1985 944Turbo as follows. All of the following are not working:

Electric windows
Blower fan
Rear wash wipe
Front wipers

Do you think this could be earth related?

Regards

Steve

Can you do a little test, make sure you only have one key on the bunch and when you switch the ignition on to test the things that don’t work, try moving the key about a bit, up down backwards and forwards, like to start and switch off

The above list is symptomatic of a duff ignition switch, not the bit your key is in but the switch behind

The windows should work when the ignition is off, I can't quite remember if the drivers door needs to be open though. So try opening the drivers door and operating the window switch - do they work?

Do you have a voltmeter? - you can trace from each component back to the fuse box to start with to narrow down where the issue is.

As Waylander says, it’s a characteristic of a worn ignition switch, my 968 has the same problem, if I just wiggle the key a bit back to the off position once the car is started, by just a small fraction, all the wipers, heater/blower, indicators etc, come back to life. Keep meaning to swap out the switch, but can’t face laying facedown in the drivers footwell to swap out the worn item in the back of the dashboard.....

Windows are back working realised this was a bad connection as they started working after starting to clean earths etc. Then nearside door then not working gain. Removed switch and working again momentarily. When I had more time I took the switch right out separated all of the connections put it back together and good as gold since. Now for the others? Not had any joy with the wiggling of the key so far. Tempted to change out the switch but does sound like a crap job.

Steve
