 Post subject: Does the 944 Transaxle have a filter?

TIPEC membership: 0
Loads of stuff about transaxle fluid changes on line.

But does the manual transaxle also have a filter that needs changed ?

No filter, but they do have 2 internal magnets, one in the diff cover and one in the rear nose. None in the drain plug but I did stick a magnet in there (core from abs sensor) and it retrieved some small particles during an oil change.
