BTW, I found one of these oxygen sensor sockets was the best tool to correctly tighten the strut top nuts......

dont buy a cheap O2 socket, they really do stretch, and the top nuts need quite a bit of torque

when I changed my sensor I got a cheap one, rubbish, then borrowed a snap on one, still would not move, ended up with a 22mm ring spanner and a 3lb dead blow hammer and it was still hard work

This time with a pair of struts refurbished and converted to B6 inserts by 51Rider - many thanks Henry!

Whilst it has been on axle stands, I nioticed a lip on the disks and couldnt resist buying some new disks and pads which I also fitted yestertday. Note the "unusual" disk fixing screws I found on one side. Correct ones are now on their way to me.

But finally, its now sitting on wheels rather than axle stands.

Next step, is to get the alignment done ASAP before I chew the tires up as its a bit heavy on -ve camber just now.

Henry does a terrific job, they really look the part

I am fed up with the disks from euro car parts, Pagid ones, 2-3 heavy stops and they are warped to hell,

need some new fronts again.... Zimmermans this time I think

Alignment had to be postponed due to having to SI following an trip abroad, and in that time the MoT expired :(

Anyway, MoT passed today with no advisories so booked in for the alignment next week after which I can finally test out the new suspension - weather permitting :)
