Hi Everyone

I have just turned my car over after Nine months.
I put some oil down each bore beforehand.
I have turned it over with the dome relay and spark plus out all sounds well!
There is no signs of pressure building on the oil pressure gauge.
I have put new seals in the oil cooler body and followed the instructions ie used the correct setting tool for the oprv.
Any advice before I go any further.
The engine has been empty of oil for 9 months.

Any help would be great.

Thank you and stay safe.

Mark

When I bought my first 944 it had been sat for 5 years and not started.

Dropped the oil and replaced.
Removed the fuel filter and drained any remaining fuel out of the tank and flushed it through to remove any debris that may have built up over the period it had sat unused.
New plugs, new oil, new filter.

Mine had a problem with debris stuck on the end of the crank sensor, so mine didn't start up initially, however I removed the supply to the dizzy to get some oil and fuel pressure built up. Once the problem was sorted it started straight up no problem. A little different from your situation but I suppose it would be relevant. Engine is still great now with no problems.

You may need to prime the oil pump, have a google round about it

Old thread but I changed the oil filter gallery seal and OPRV seals last year on my turbo - it took 5-10 mins of cranking on the starter before the oil pressure built up enough to see on the oil pressure gauge. I was beginning to think I'd done something wrong, the turbo / s2 have a longer oil circuit due to the oil cooler as well which may contribute. There are some guides on priming the oil pump as waylander pointed out.
