Hi all,

removed the front seats yesterday in readiness for having them retrimmed.

Are they missing a cover at the front to hide the motors etc - I noticed a couple of unsused brackets with U-nuts.

Thanks

You are both missing covers!! Each one is held on with 2 screws and are prone to breaking.

Ah yes - found them on Rose Passion - "Seat Engine Cover" at EUR11 each.

May have to get some when my seats come back looking good as new.

OK Guys,

I purchased 2 of the motor covers from OPC. They fit the passanger seat fine, but not the drivers seat.

The pass seat has manual back/forward and electric up/down.

The driver has full electric.

The motor drive cables on the drivers seat are too bulky for the cover to fit as you can see from this pic.

Is there another part number for this side?

Thanks

There must be, call OPC or the ever helpful Waylander will check. They must be comfort seats then although it's hard to tell from a front on picture. AFAIK 8 way adjustable was only an option on comfort seats and not sports seats (bigger bolsters).

If you like I will buy the spare one that doesn't fit as I could do with a new one for my driver side that has an eyelet issue. If it's easier return it to Porsche to save any faffing about as I'm in no desperate need or rush.

So the ones I ordered are 928 521 760 050 1C - which look correct by Waylanders decription (its an S2 with an all electric drivers seat).

BTW - they were only £8.64 + VAT

I notice that my build label includes 438 which I believe is ”COMFORT SEAT RIGHT ELECTRIC ADJUSTABLE”

Ive asked my OPC to figure it out and maybe they will exchange.

Probably too late for this now - but for anyone else - these seats don't need re-trimmed, they can be restored / repaired at a fraction of the price (even colour changed) if thats what you were after. I know because it is what I do. Admittedly it'll never be quite as good as freshly trimmed new leather but very decent results can be had.

I have one of the larger covers in my garage I think.
I was missing one from the drivers side when I got the car 12 years ago and ordered a replacement which didn't fit.
I'll have a look and see if I can find it.

Found it!

The part number is 928 521 760 04 01C.
It is a different shape to the one on my 968 which only has electric height adjustment.

Looks like it might be the right one for your seat as it has the hole in which would line up with the hex socket, which I guess is the emergency winder to move the seat back and forth without power.
