Hi,
I will be refitting the cylinder head on my 944 2.5 8v. Iv'e two different ways to torque it down. The first using 3 settings up to 66 ft lbs, the second tighten to 15 ft lbs then turn 90 degrees then 90 degrees again. Can anyone tell me the correct settings or procedure?

As your car is an '83 Clark-Garage gives the torque spec as:

Step 1: 20Nm
Step 2: 50Nm
Step 3: 90NM

They also suggest waiting approx 15mins between each step.
