Hi all,

Losing my mind trying to find the source of the heater being stuck on in my '88 944 Lux.

The clip near the glovebox/footwell had broken but has been taped back in place whilst new part arrives at OPC. Other than that, the heater control valve doesn't seem to move when adjusting heater blower speed, should it? Y joint for vacuum pipes is all intact and can't seem to find an issue here.

The heater dash controls however - the sliding parts for temp move really freely with no resistance, should there be some - is the panel the problem?

Also bit miffed as I removed the fuse for the heater control panel and it's still operating?! Fuse No 17,

Help!

Heater valve only operates with temp adjustment. Good guide here :- http://www.clarks-garage.com/

They are electrical not mechanical controls, so yes they are light to use.

no it does not, it only shuts when the temp is set to freeze my ass off, the rest of the time its the mixer flaps

depending which year the fuse for the blower is in the AUX fuse box number 16
