I’m asking seriously because only five 968’s turned up at our Goodwood meeting yesterday. Last year there were 18 cars. I’m wondering if , because values have gone up, people are leaving their 968’s under a cover in the garage?

I've got one - I answered in the other thread.

I use mine, in the three and a half years I have had it it has been around Ireland, to Le Mans, to Italy, to Spa. I use it every week.
I intend to go to Goodwood one of these days but it is quite a long way from the West Midlands!

I drove 120 miles to watch a bit of racing and spend the day with friends, that’s like a holiday, I was not at home

Work has been so busy, twice this year I have not been out the house for 14 days

I know 2 active club sport owners near up Tony that have sold up in the last year.

With the increase in values, I expect that there may be quite a few in new ownership. New owners having paid 2-3 times what the previous owner did may be more reluctant to use it or may just not have got involved in clubs/forums etc yet

A few more collecting dust and not getting used, and in ten years time folks might not be able to use them on the roads, have to trailer them to a track day

With emissions and the government we may not be able to drive old polluting cars on the road any more
