Just got my car out for the summer 944s2 and the handbrake warning light and the engine oil light is on, I assume the lights are connected? The oil is full and the pressure is ok so suspect it’s just a stuck measure? Anything else I should check before I use it?

The master alarm light !, Comes on with almost all other warning lights, mainly to make sure it’s got your undivided attention

The float might be sunk but unlikely, I would check the plug and wires to the float, which is right by the drain plug

Ok thanks I’ll give that a try. I assume I can still use it if the oil volume and pressure is ok

I can’t say yes it’s ok, because if I’m wrong the finger pointing will start, drive it at your own risk is the only answer anyone will give

Good stuff

A slope can put the light on
