Where should the pads on a 2-post lift be positioned for a 944 ?

And any particular recommendations for makes/models of lift to go for or to avoid ?

Thanks - that diagram helps. The front points are a lot more inboard than I had expected - and what if an undertray is fitted ?

Don't know if it's the done thing but I sometimes use the castor blocks (near rear of the suspension arm mounting point), with a decent bit of timber between car and jack.

Don't be tempted to use the jack-shaped dome like bosses with holes in the middle, even though they (annoyingly) fit the cup of a normal trolley jack really well, using them they can deform the floor pan, and cause problems with throttle pedal movement amongst other things.
